- Description
- This research examines the proposition that positively deviant decision-making and positive deviance behaviours remain extant within the aviation maintenance domain, and that deviant decision-making poses both a threat to continuing airworthiness and aviation safety management and a potential benefit to organisational performance and effectiveness. This research is novel in that it actively delved into positive deviance decision-making, compared attitudes and behaviours of Technical Cohort participants with those of Regulatory Cohort participants, explored the scope and functionality of aide-memoires by aviation maintenance personnel, and sought direct justification for aide-memoire usage.
